Now that the introduction for the Frankfurt Motor Show is winding down, we’re looking into the horizon at some of the upcoming auto shows on tap for the next few months. One particular event that’s already getting some previews is the 2011 SEMA show in Las Vegas.
The event isn’t scheduled until November, but we’re already getting a few glimpses at some of the cars that are headed to Vegas. One particular tuning firm is in the middle of developing an aftermarket project for SEMA, one that involves a 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe.
The project belongs to Fox Marketing and it’s a doozy if we do say so ourselves. According to the fine people over at Fox Marketing, the tuning project for the Civic Si Coupe involves a modified chassis, an extensive exterior make-over, and best of all, a tuning program that will boost the car’s output straight into the vicinity of 500 horsepower.
For a car that carries a 2.4-liter engine with ’only’ 201 horsepower and 170 lb/ft of torque on tap, bumping the output by over 150% is nothing short of extraordinary. Hopefully, these guys shed more light about this outrageous project leading up to Vegas.
In the meantime, they’ve shared a few photos of the build, which you can check out in the gallery.
